Manually
installing the Transmitter Interface Drivers under Windows 2000
RealFlight Classic
RealFlight Deluxe
RealFlight G2
Occasionally owners of the transmitter interface adapter
owners will experience difficulties and/or error messages when starting
the RealFlight software.
Follow the instructions below to manually install the
driver for the transmitter interface adapter.
RealFlight G2
RealFlight G2 owners must update their software to at
least version 2.00.327. To do so, click the Windows Start menu,
select Program Files, RealFlight and then the RealFlight Control
Panel. In the Control Panel click on the Online Updates
button and update the software to the latest version. This update will
include the necessary drivers for the transmitter interface adapter.
Proceed to step 1 below.
RealFlight and RealFlight Deluxe
RealFlight or Deluxe owners should download the latest
version of their software from www.realflight.com.
This update will include the necessary drivers for the transmitter
interface adapter. Proceed to step one below.

Click the Windows Start menu, select Settings
and then Control Panel. In the Control Panel choose Add/Remove
Hardware.

Click Next.

Choose Add/Troubleshoot Device, and then
click Next.

Your PC may take a moment to scan the Plug-n-Play
devices. Upon completion, the following screen will appear. When it
does, click Add a New Device and click Next.

Click No, I want to Select the hardware from a
list, and then click Next.

Choose Other Devices and click Next.

Click Have Disk…

-
In this dialog box, please enter the location that
contains the Realf.inf and Realf.sys. Most users will
find these files in c:\program files\realflight. Prior to doing
so, please make sure that you have updated to the latest version of
the RealFlight software. Click OK.

If successful, the following dialog should appear on
your screen. If it does, please click Next. If, however, there
was a problem finding the driver the dialog would not be the same as
the example below. Please refer to step 1 for information on how to
obtain the latest drivers.

The following dialog will appear.
Click OK.

The following dialog will appear, click Next.

The following dialog will appear, click Resources…

The following dialog will appear.
Slect Use Automatic Settings and click OK.

This completes the manual installation of the
transmitter interface drivers. Try running the RealFlight software
once again. If you are unsuccessful in running this software, please
follow the instructions below.
RealFlight G2

Completely uninstall the RealFlight software. To do
so, click the Start menu, select Program Files, and then
RealFlight. Select the RealFlight Control Panel followed
by the Uninstall RealFlight button. Click each of the boxes to
ensure that ALL RealFlight files are removed from your PC.

After all files and data are deleted, reinstall the
software once again, however, do NOT run the program. Instead, please
proceed to step 3, below.

Reinstall the transmitter interface drivers once
again. Start with Step 1 above.
RealFlight, RealFlight Deluxe

Completely uninstall the RealFlight software. To do
so, click the Start menu, select Settings and then Control
Panel. In the Control Panel select Add/Remove Programs
and highlight the RealFlight program. Next, click the Change/Remove
button to remove the RealFlight software.

After all files and data are deleted, reinstall the
software once again, however, do NOT run the program. Instead, please
proceed to step 3, below.

Reinstall the transmitter interface drivers once
again. Start with Step 1 above.
