During the calibration procedure there is no response from the controller.
-
Exit the simulator completely.
-
Click the Start button followed by the Settings options and then click the Control Panel. Click on the Gaming Options.
-
Is the RealFlight controller listed in the Gaming Options?
-
If it is listed as ‘not connected’ this may indicated the need to download a more recent version of the
sound card driver. If the sound card that you are utilizing is a Sound Blaster Live, this might indicate an input/output
(I/O) error. Please refer to the article from Creative Labs.
-
If the Gaming Options indicates that the controller is ‘connected’, click on the RealFlight controller listing. Click on the Properties button and then the Calibrate option to manually calibrate the controller. Once you have finished calibrating the controller use the Test tab to ensure that the controller is functioning correctly. If the controller does not respond accordingly, this might indicate a difficulty with the sound card drivers. Try updating the
sound card drivers.
If you are running the RealFlight Generation 2 software, there is an additional test program created by Microsoft that we suggest you run to verify the controller response. To access this
program:
-
Click the Windows Start menu, select Program Files, RealFlight and then the RealFlight Control Panel. In the Control Panel click on Technical Support, followed by the Joystick button. This application will indicate whether or not the values are being transmitted from your controller.
