While flying the aircraft, the simulation fails to respond and my computer locks up. This generally occurs when the aircraft are flown overhead.

Summary

RealFlight locks up when flying high or directly overhead.

Resolution

Update the RealFlight software to the latest version. To do so, please visit the Program Updates page.
